It takes about 30 -45 seconds to cook soft garlic bread and a little longer for nice crispy bread. I personally use a medium-high setting.
But a word of warning, if you leave it for too long the bread will become very hard and almost inedible. Keep a watchful eye and check the bread every 15 seconds after the first 30 seconds.

How to Make Garlic Bread for the Microwave
Well, I did this a few days ago and in turned out quite well.
I made the garlic bread as usual. I cut up the fresh garlic and mixed it with some soft butter that had been left out of the fridge for about 10 minutes.
I brushed the bread with the garlic butter ensuring a generous coating to one side of the bread.
Place the bread with a reasonable space between each piece on a microwave-safe plate using microwave-safe cooking paper. Cook on a medium-high setting for 30 seconds and then check for your preferred doneness.
Will my Garlic Bread be Soggy if I Cook it in a Microwave?
It will be when you start to cook it, but after the moisture has been cooked out of the bread it becomes crunchy very fast. Be careful and always watch the bread as it cooks or you’ll end up with garlic rocks instead of garlic bread.
Can you Microwave Garlic Bread?
